About Glen
From the first day I held my first film SLR camera (yes, I am that old) I have been hooked on photography. I wanted to learn EVERYTHING about the craft; macro, telephoto, wide angle, landscapes, portraiture, still life and on and on. I knew it would take a lifetime to “master” photography and although digital processes are now in the “game”, I find there is so much new to learn and I am loving it. The only limits are our imagination. Something new is always on the horizon. I have come out of the chemical darkroom into the realm of the digital darkroom. They both have similar results, but different ways to accomplish them.
Two of my passions in life have always been travel and photography. Through my personal experiences I love to share with others the beauty of areas I have visited. Having lived in the New England states afforded me the opportunity to photograph some of the most beautiful locations available. Now, living in the west I have a new found love, sharing with others what I have seen through my lens, from the Central Coast of California, Oregon and Washington State.
Through my photography I seek to document my own personal experiences, to capture scenes and events as I see them and to share with others the beauty and diversity of the world I have seen. A photograph is not only the creation of the original camera exposure, but also the result of significant technical and aesthetic consideration while making the final print. This allows me to not only record a literal moment in time, but rather the emotion or experience of the moment I have felt.
